This course is presented in one lecture.

This course was developed to help expand the knowledge and skills of all health care professionals with regards to the subject of professional ethics.

The information in this course has been derived from various professional sources. It is the responsibility of the practitioner to determine which principals and theories are appropriate with regards to his or her personal boundaries and their scope of practice.

Topics include: Professionalism, The House Portability and Accountability Act, Dual/Sexual Relationships.

This online course is available to licensed massage therapists, nurses, physical therapists, health care practitioners, etc. and the general public.

Course Instructions:

To begin this course, open up the lecture on Ethics for LMT .The course includes 3 discussions on professionalism, The House Portability and Protection Act, and dual/sexual relationships. For supplemental study materials, open the Instructional Materials file.

Concluding the completion of the discussions, you will be asked to open up the Case Study file and choose just ONE case study. Answer the questions for that specific case study with 2-3 sentence answers for each question.

Once the case study is completed, e-mail the case study and your full name and mailing address to Dr. Madore . Upon receipt of your case study and contact information, a continuing education certificate will be mailed to you within 7 working days. Expect to receive the certificate within 10 - 14 days. If you have not received your certificate within 14 days, e-mail the instructor, Dr. Madore
